Security assessment
Insight into your organisation’s ICT maturity level
ICT is becoming increasingly complex — and so is ICT security. ICT systems, and especially the associated data, are the beating heart of many organisations and must be available 24/7. Achieving full and solid security requires the right combination of policy and technical measures.
We perform the ICT Security Assessment using reporting tooling developed together with Aragorn. No filled-out Word templates or Excel sheets, but a professional and systematic report including graphs that offer both clarity and depth. We are very proud of this service!

Protify can help your organisation by identifying ICT-related risks through a Security Assessment. You will gain insight into the risks and vulnerabilities within your organisation, along with clear and thorough advice regarding your ICT infrastructure and related security measures. You will also gain an understanding of your organisation’s current security maturity, based on the CMM maturity model. We advise your organisation on which measures to take and how to prioritise them effectively.
ICT Security Assessment questions
Below is a small selection of the ICT security questions answered for your organisation:
- How can you protect your organisation’s ICT systems and data in a simple yet effective way?
- How do you determine the right priorities for security?
- Do you take policy, law, and regulations into account — not just technology?
- How do you monitor this process?
- Insight into the top 10 quick wins: actions that make an immediate impact
- Strategic-level advice
- Recommendations for a roadmap
- What is your organisation’s maturity level?
The ICT Security Assessment can also serve as proof in tenders or when a client imposes certain requirements on your organisation. It provides demonstrable evidence to partners and clients. A Security Assessment offers insight into the current state of ICT security, information security, and business continuity measures. The assessment is based on a set of control measures, categorised under six key themes:
- Organisation
- People
- ICT architecture
- Technical
- Identity and access management
- Continuity management
Each theme is assessed using detailed questionnaires — sometimes with up to 50 questions per area — giving your organisation insight into how processes and measures are structured. These questions are aligned with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIST and CSIRT.
Answers are scored using the CMM maturity model, which uses a 0–5 scale to show where your organisation stands relative to a target maturity level.
The results are visualised through:
- Graphs per selected standard
- Graphs across the six themes

Protify and Aragorn collaboration
ICT security goes beyond just technology or policy, which is why Protify and Aragorn teamed up in 2021. Our goal: to fully map and strengthen the entire ICT security landscape of organisations. Aragorn brings deep expertise in ICT infrastructure and associated security, while Protify adds experience in ICT and information (security), risk management, and business continuity. Together, we can support your organisation in all aspects of conducting an ICT Security Assessment. Both organisations are ISO 27001 certified.
In control: ‘Tell me, show me, proof me’
Organisations’ ICT environments are growing rapidly — more systems, more data, and greater risks. Want to understand your organisation’s exposure to risk? And make sure it’s not just your IT manager who knows? During the Security Assessment, we apply the principles of: “Tell me, show me, proof me.” This means we don’t stop at interviews and isolated examples — we actively inspect the setup and implementation.
Please note: this is a snapshot in time. If new applications or network components are added, the situation may change. Consider the scan a baseline measurement.
