Ramone has been working as a back office and support officer at Protify since late 2023. After various inside sales and service desk positions at various companies, Ramone has now chosen a completely different industry. Besides working at Protify, she helps with the administration of her parents’ metal recycling company. Several times a week she is in the park for boot camp training and she recently completed her hairdressing course. She lives on a residential farm with several animals and loves travelling to sunny destinations. In short, a busy bee who does not like to sit still.
Background Ramone
Ramone has gained experience in various roles in recent years: from administrative work and customer service to inside sales representative in various industries from sports to furniture and accessories. She gained the necessary experience in the e-commerce world. Besides her work, she enthusiastically threw herself into a part-time study at Schoevers. She successfully completed her studies to become a management assistant and office manager.
Why Protify?
‘It was time for a new challenge, and then the position at Protify came my way. The organisation and the work immediately appealed to me. I thought: this suits me, this seems really fun to do’. Ramone was ready for a new challenge and wanted to move from products to services. She also worked for a while at an organisation as a project manager, where she also gave demos and got to be involved in development. She saw this reflected in the job description of her current position as a back office employee and decided to apply.

Demos, support and sustain colleagues
Ramone works for Protify three days a week, supporting on requests for quotes, scheduling appointments for demos and introductions, supporting her colleagues and focusing on the ProActive Compliance Tool (PCT) from support to further development. She will inform both customers and her colleagues when changes to the PCT take place.
Good start
‘I started at the beginning of December (’23) and I like it! They have created a comprehensive familiarisation programme for me, which is very nice. I am taken every day and we then discuss a certain topic. It goes step by step and the puzzle pieces are falling into place more and more.’ says Ramone.
Information security is the topic that has stayed with Ramone the most so far, especially as it has made her aware of her own situation. How important it is to be careful with your data, passwords and documents. In work, on top of that, how important it is to record this and also think about version control.
In the future, Ramone hopes to gain more independence and be more involved in developments and changes at Protify. ‘In a year’s time, I want to be able to discuss topics with my colleagues and work more independently.’

Structured approach
‘Protify has a very open culture, I felt very welcome from moment one and there was an immediate click. Despite my different background and that I still have a lot to learn, but I enjoy doing that.’
Ramone comments: ‘What strikes me at Protify is the structured approach. In my previous positions, I was often thrown in at the deep end, but here, processes are laid down from A to Z. I like that. I really like that structured way of working.’
Residential farm and travel
Ramone is involved in her parents’ business, a metal recycling company. She supports her mother in administrative work. A real family business. She also enjoys living on a residential farm with her boyfriend and the animals.
As for holidays, Ramone loves the Greek islands and tries to visit a different Greek island every year.
Ramone played football fanatically for 18 years, but made the switch to bootcamp training. In her spare time, she enjoys attending music festivals with friends and taking long walks with the dog daily. You could say Ramone has a busy schedule, but as she says, “I can combine everything well and I like it too. To get as much out of my day as possible, I prefer to get up on time.’
